9th International Conference on Dietary Fibre 2026

Dietary Fibre in Focus: Bridging Science, Technology, and Global Health

WELCOME TO THE 9th INTERNATIONAL DIETARY FIBRE CONFERENCE 2026!

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

On behalf of the Scientific and Organizing Committees, we kindly invite you to join us at the 9th International Dietary Fibre Conference 2026 (DF26). The meeting is hosted by the Quadram Institute in Norwich, UK, and co-organised by the International Association for Cereal Science and Technology (ICC). The conference will take place on October 6 to 8, 2026, in the fine city of Norwich (England).

DF26 is entitled “‘Dietary Fibre in Focus: Bridging Science, Technology, and Global Health” and aims at providing a science platform to present the latest research on dietary fibre. We will discuss topics such as (i) DF definitions and mechanisms of action, (ii) DF in the gut-brain axis and (iii) food innovations using dietary fibre. This meeting will wrap up with the current issues, trends, and perspectives.

The conference addresses scientists and representatives of the industry and academia from all over the world, bringing together experts of different areas of dietary fibre research, including food (bio)chemistry, (bio)physics, technology, processing, fermentation, quality, and human and animal health. By doing so, the DF26 meeting brings together multidisciplinary perspectives to address the present challenges for science-based understanding and innovation towards unlocking the full potential of fibre for food, technology, and global health.

Beyond knowledge exchange, DF26 will serve as a vibrant forum for discussion, collaboration, and networking, providing a valuable opportunity to forge new connections and strengthen partnerships within the global cereal and dietary fibre research community. Stakeholders across the grain and food value chains are encouraged to share their expertise through oral and poster presentations, panel discussions, and tabletop exhibitions.

ICC and the Quadram Institute extend a warm welcome to participants from across the world and place a special focus on encouraging early-career researchers to present their work, contribute new perspectives, and help shape the future of food and health. Exhibitors and sponsors are invited to enrich the conference with practical, market-focused insights that complement the scientific programme.

We look forward to welcoming you in Norwich for DF26 – “Dietary Fibre in Focus: Bridging Science, Technology, and Global Health”, and to engaging in inspiring discussions that will drive innovation and contribute to a more sustainable and health-oriented food system.
